Seven Wonders

Fleetwood Mac

So long ago
Certain time
Certain place
You touched my hand
All the way
All the way down to emmiline
But if our paths never cross
Well you know I’m sorry but
If I live to see the seven wonders
Ill make a path to the rainbows end
Ill never live to match the beauty again
The rainbows end

So its hard to find
Someone with that kind of intensity
You touched my hand I played it cool
And you reached out your hand for me
But if our paths never cross
Well you know I’m sorry but
If I live to see the seven wonders
Ill make a path to the rainbows end
Ill never live to match the beauty again
The rainbows end

So long ago
Its a certain time
Its a certain place
You touched my hand and you smiled
All the way back you held out your hand
If I hope and I pray
Ooh it might work out someday
If I live to see the seven wonders
Ill make a path to the rainbows end
Ill never live to match the beauty again
The rainbows end

If I live to see the seven wonders
Ill make a path to the rainbows end
Ill never live to match the beauty again

If I live to see the seven wonders
Ill make a path to the rainbows end
Ill never live to match the beauty again

Thursday Thirteen #6

This meme is hosted by Carol at Thursday Thirteen

13 Things~Patch Update

(Patch is my 11 year old dalmatian that has been “sick” for the last four months. Please read my Dogs Page to catch up on the history. He went to the Vet last Thursday and this is the update)

  1. Yearly Shots: Patch got his yearly shots
  2. Dental Work: He didn’t get his teeth/mouth cleaned because he had a slight fever and his blood work didn’t look to good.
  3. WBC: His WBC (white blood cell count) was high
  4. Anemic: Patch is anemic at this time-I can see it in him now: white lips & gums
  5. Weight:Patch weighed 58 pounds. He has lost 10 pounds since this started-but the Doc feels he should lose weight to help out the arthritis in his legs & back. The bad part is he has flabby places-lol.
  6. Bath-Nails-Flea & Tick Treatment: Patch did get his bath, nails trimmed, and his Revolution treatment. I told Doc C that I would just purchase Revolution monthly now-since I didn’t know what the future held for Patch . Doc C said this medicine had to be bought in bulk. I said, “hhhhmmmm I guess I could find someone that uses it and pass it on if I needed to”. He said, “I use it”. LOL
  7. Lab Work: Doc C had some more tests ran. He still thinks it could be a tick bourne related disease. He ran a test for canine ehrlichiosis. He said that even if the first test is negative, it is good to do a second test in case the first was a false negative. The biopsy of the lymph node suggested this, but said that correlation of the patient history and other findings ruled this out. Doc C also mentioned Cushings Disease and had more tests sent off for this.
  8. Meds: Doc C put Patch back on Tetracycline and he is now on Etodolac for pain. We also have Tresaderm drops to put on the sores on his ears-they are back. He has shown major improvement (not shaking) until today??
  9. Results: Patch is on the above medicine for 10 days and hopefully the results from all of the lab work will be in this Monday or Tuesday.
  10. Going back: Patch will go back for his dental work (we think this will help in some way-at least clear out all of that bacteria) after his results come back-hopefully.
  11. Walks:Patch has been limping terribly on & off all week.
  12. Car Rides: Patch’s favorite thing. For a week and a half Patch didn’t go for any rides except the one to the V-E-T. 🙂 He finally went for a ride yesterday and today-yippee! 🙂
  13. Price of Vet Visit: $355. Price of Patch’s unconditional love: Priceless!
(For some reason, I haven’t been able to bring myself to do this update sooner and I know I didn’t do a thorough job for myself-jut so much)

Ten Things Tuesday

tenthingstuesdayquestionmark-1.jpg
This meme is hosted by XBOX WIFE

It’s “Ten Things Tuesday”, and that means it is time to put your on your happy face, and share your ten things for which you’re thankful for today!! And if your happy face is hiding? Make your list anyway, and just see if it doesn’t make an appearance!

Ten Things Tuesday #2

  1. Patch jumped on his bed: I am thankful that Patch (my 11 year old dalmatian that has been sick for 4 months-read my Dogs page for more stories) jumped up on his bed (Grandpa’s bed) today. He hasn’t been on his bed in a week and a half! He could only make it on his ottoman-sometimes needing help!
  2. Patch went for a ride: I am thankful that Patch got into his car today and went for a ride even though Jedd let him poop and guess who had to clean it up. Thank goodness he is on plenty of cheese for his meds-good solid stuff-TMI-lol! Anywho~car rides are his FAVORITE thing to do and he has only been on one to the V-E-T in the last week and a half!
  3. Etodolac: Pain medicine for Patch. I believe we have found the right med for Patch at this time. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication. We now believe that he is in pain and it isn’t anxiety. The last med the Doc put him on made him sick (Cipro). Doc said 1 in 3 dogs can’t take it. Patch is one of those three-lol!
  4. Rain: I am so thankful for the rain we are receiving right now and have been for two days! We had such a drought last year and are still trying to catch up!
  5. Birds Chirping: I love the sound of birds chirping-if I am not trying to sleep-hehe! It is a sign of life and new growth-Spring is here!
  6. Spring Break: I am thankful for Spring Break right now. I am getting a lot of stuff done-blogging-lol! I have posted 5 posts today and one more to go-hehe! I am getting a necessary break from the classroom and the children are getting a necessary break from the classroom too!
  7. Dad gets a job: I am so thankful that my Dad is finally working after almost two years. I just hope he sticks with it. He has been working quite a lot since he started last week. *kneeling to pray for dad*
  8. My cousin Sarah: I am so thankful and proud of my cousin, Sarah. She has been on a mission for the last year to become more self-sufficient for her and her child. She has enrolled in beauty school and is doing great!
  9. Blogosphere: I am so thankful for my blog and my blog buddies. Sometimes I believe that my friends are really in my computer. I really appreciate the visits I get and the kind words I receive! I love to visit others too! I feel like I “know” a lot about my blog buddies! *hugs to all*
  10. Animal Shelters: I am thankful for animal shelters all around for the hard work they do to save animals’ lives! I will be assisting the local animal shelters in the near future for our Service Learning Project. Stay Tuned!

Things That Need Fixin’ Up Around Here

Ten on Tuesday #6

10 Things I Would Fix In My Home

(if I had the time and money…and I owned the house-lol)

  1. No carpet. I would remove all of the carpet in this house and have wood floors. I’ve had both and no carpet is much more sanitary-especially with pets.
  2. Electricity: The electrical outlets in this house need some major updating-I believe it is the original and I only have 2 outlets that include the 3 prong plug-great!
  3. Even floor: I believe the house has settled-duh!The floors sink in at places and need to be leveled.
  4. Drapes: I need some major window treatments (drapes, curtains, and valences) for the whole house. I just can’t bring myself to do it here.
  5. Trees: I wish I could cut down the 2 apple trees, the 2 pine trees, and the walnut tree. The stuff I have to pick up is such a hassle and the apples don’t turn out good anyway. I have plenty of other trees all over the yard. I like trees that are beautiful and only produce leaves that fall-lol!
  6. Outside: I have 1 and a 1/2 acres and I would love to have my back yard fenced in. Patch, my 11 year old dalmatian, would love this too.
  7. Multicolored walls: The walls in this house are multicolored shades of white, off white…The whole house needs to be re-painted professionally. Not paint here and there and plaster there and here-aahhhh!
  8. Open/Shut Doors: The whole house needs new doors to the rooms. The door handles are not secure and you might shut a door and never get back in-hehe. Plus the doors are the original and are tearing/pealing off which can cause splinters or be a danger for my dog, Patch.
  9. Vinyl Floor: My kitchen floor is the original 1970’s yellow floor, I’m sure of it. It has torn places everywhere and you can see the concrete directly underneath. My favorite color is yellow-but when I see my floor-I wanna barf-hehe! I need a new kitchen floor!
  10. Earth: The earth/ground outside needs leveling and holes need filled. It is a danger zone in many spots. I just avoid those places, because my feet don’t work well on stairs or in holes.

My house is really a great house for the price compared to most in my area, but this sums up what I really need to do: NEED TO MOVE!

~Cookies~

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

peanutbutter-cookies.jpg

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 40 miniature chocolate covered peanut butter cups, unwrapped Recommended: Freeze PB Cups, unwrap, then pop back into freezer-until cookies are out of oven. It is easier to press the frozen candy into the hot cookie without falling to pieces.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda; set aside.
  3. Cream together the butter, sugar, peanut butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg, vanilla and milk. Add the flour mixture; mix well.
  4. Shape into 40 balls and place each into an ungreased mini muffin pan. Recommended: make dough and refrigerate for an hour-it makes dough easier to scoop.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees for about 8 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately press a mini peanut butter cup into each ball. Cool and carefully remove from pan. Recommended: pop the trays into the refrigerator after you place the candy cups in the cookies. If you don’t, the chocolate centers keep melting and it takes longer for them to cool and store.
*I will post what I have for Dinner later on today.
Jedd has to work again, so I will be going alone today.*

Going to the Vet…again

space
Patch is going to the Vet again Friday morning. Jedd has to work, so my Dad is coming over after he gets off of work to take Patch to Doc C. I have the honors of going on a Field Trip to the movies to see Horton Hears a Who. This is my list I made for Dad to take to the Doc. I hope I have it all covered. For those of you that don’t know about Patch-he is my 11 year old dalmatian that has been going through some tough times these last four months. You can read my Dogs page to learn more.

Needs, problems, & thoughts
space

• Yearly Shots
• Teeth & mouth cleaned (horrible breath, drooling, & sores-we have thought this might be part of his problem)
• Is it possible for him to get a bath (no perfume) and nails clipped if needed-Today?
• Has hard time breathing and swallowing. He smacks and makes weird noises with his mouth. Could there be an obstruction in his throat and/or nose?
• Trembles/Shakes-at various times. He also will do this in his sleep and sometimes has a rhythm with his breathing.
• He has been blah for a week and looks like he is miserable.
• Sneezes often-but no blood yet.
• Hasn’t been for a car ride for a week (favorite thing to do, but can’t get into the car)
• Front legs (behind the “knees”)-noticed lumps/swelling of nodes possibly
• Limping (possibly arthritis-or could it be the lymph nodes/lumps behind the legs/knees?)
• Cipro made him sick-not taking it now
• Not taking the nerve meds either (I believe now that it is pain and not nerves)
• Has a knot on the right, back side of his neck
• Ears and Nose bother him and he scratches/ rubs them. (Wants to shake head often, but looks like it is difficult for him-thinking it could be the knot or the ears-not quite sure). I have continuously wondered if he has ear and/or nasal mites. Is there a test that can be done to check for these?
• Sores on body again and he continuously cleans/licks them and other places-creating more bad spots.
• We sometimes wonder if we should have just left him on Prednisone and Tramadol for pain even though we know Prednisone isn’t a good long term thing and Tramadol kind of made him wobbly. We understand arthritis and can handle that, but we feel there are other problems that we wish could be pinpointed.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue

The Thursday Threesome #6

The Thursday Threesome is hosted by Dan at The Back Porch!

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue

Onesome: Something old– Do you have anything that you’ve owned simply forever? A cherished childhood toy, an antique handed down through the family? …the family Bible?

I still have my toy china tea set, my china doll, and many other childhood memories. Patch (my dalmatian) has taken over a few of my childhood stuffed animals. I also have many afghans that my Granny made over the years.

Twosome: Something new– Buy anything new lately?

I just bought Jedd and his Dad some orange Tennessee crocs, and I got myself some chocolate (color) crocs. I know many do not like these shoes, and I swore I would never wear the “ugly” things until I received a pair for Christmas in 2006. I fell in love! They are soooo comfortable and work great being a Kindergarten teacher. I fit right in with the kids-lol!

Threesome: Something borrowed– Have you ever borrowed an item and never returned it?

I have my friend’s carpet cleaner right now. I have tried to return it, but she told me to keep it until I didn’t really need it anymore. It has come in REAL handy during Patch’s (my 11 year old dalmation: Read my Dogs page if you want to get the details or catch up) sickness. I DO plan on returning it, but I have a feeling she used it as an excuse to buy a new one.

Bonus: Something blue-Can you see anything blue from where you are? What is it?

I have a lighthouse pen/pencil holder. I see the blue sky and the blue water on it. I also have a lighthouse calendar and I see the blue sky and water there.

  1. Awoke from my dream: I am so thankful I awoke from my dream: I had Mary Kay make-up products open (at school-I never do this) and I was giving a lady a book. I told the car riders to get up (nap time) and they all hovered around the samples digging in the make-up with their fingernails-aaahhhhh! Then I woke up-thank goodness!
  2. Alarm Clocks with Snooze: I am thankful that I have an alarm clock: with a snooze (I rarely use snooze) that works. My alarm awoke me from that horrible nightmare-lol
  3. Jedd sleeps peacefully: I am thankful that Jedd was snoozing peacefully: since I hit the snooze button 2 times and the alarm went off 3 times
  4. Patch is still with me: I am soooo thankful that my 11 year old dalmatian, Patch is still with us. He has been sick on and off for 4 months. He was mis-diagnosed as having lymphoma, then correctly diagnosed as NOT having lymphoma. Please see my Dogs page for previous stories of Patch.
  5. Coffee was ready: I am so thankful that this morning of all mornings I set the coffee to auto last night-since I hit snooze 2 times. Whew!
  6. Mary Kay Order: I am thankful that my Mary Kay order arrived and I will be delivering orders this afternoon and receiving payments. Payments are a good thing!
  7. Granny: I am thankful that my Granny is doing much better and seems to be on the right track! She is 91 years old.
  8. My Aunt: I am thankful that my aunt has finally landed a job! She is a nurse and her previous job closed down the Nursing home. She utilized her time off by having knee replacement surgery, but was in a rut after recovery while trying to find a job. She found one-woohoo!
  9. Spring Break: I am thankful that Spring Break is almost here. My Spring Break starts on Friday at 3:30 p.m. BTW-I am a Kindergarten Teacher, but it is time for a break for the kiddies and me-lol!
  10. Ten Things Tuesday: I am thankful that I have met XBOX WIFE and that we are getting to know each other pretty quick-hehe! I am thankful that she has created this meme, she is doing wonderful things with it, and that I was invited to participate!

This is gonna be a hard one-lol! IMO-Marriage is the number one reason for divorce-ROFL! Some of these are serious and some are just for fun! My post has become more of a things to do checklist for a spouse-to-be. Maybe I am just thinking out loud for myself here-HA! Enjoy!

  1. Get your degree: or get as much education as you can
  2. In-Laws: Remember that your best option with in-laws is to marry an orphan…LOL
  3. Live with the person: to see how it works-you can find a lot out about your relationship by doing this
  4. Personal Hygiene: Find out your significant other’s personal hygiene. How often do they tidy their home? Wash dishes? Vacuum? People are either messy or tidy in general. Which one are they, and can you live with it?
  5. Children: Discuss children. Find out if you both agree on having or not having children. Also discuss discipline methods-do you both agree?
  6. Watch how the other treats his/her family: Much of their personality is probably bits and pieces that come from the way they were raised, and how their family acts. All families have issues, but make sure that you are comfortable with the closeness, or distance, of their family to your new lives.
  7. Pets: If you love pets, make sure you and your significant other agree about this and how your pets will be part of the family! You gotta love dogs to be with me-lol
  8. Hobbies/Fun Time: can you have some separate time without feeling guilty? Or without pressure from the other? I know he can. not sure that I can-hehe!
  9. Realize and know: that you can never change someone-they are who they are. So be it!
  10. Toilet Paper: Make sure you and your significant other agree on: Over the top or from behind or on the roll at all? ROFL

~Cakes~

Jedd’s Mom makes this cake frequently. I’m not sure what recipe she uses, but I do know that she loves Paula Deen. I posted before that she was going to Savannah and will be visiting Paula’s restaurant. I wasn’t sure definitely when she was going, but I found out she is going the week of April 6, 2008. Anywho~this recipe is called a cake, but it is more like a bar-type dessert.

Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

Ingredients

Cake

  1. 1 (18.25-ounce) box yellow cake mix
  2. 1 egg
  3. 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted

Filling

  1. 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  2. 2 eggs
  3. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  4. 1 (16-ounce) box confectioners’ sugar
  5. 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
  2. In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well. Pat into the bottom of prepared pan and set aside.
  3. Still using an electric mixer, beat cream cheese until smooth; add eggs and vanilla. Dump in confectioners’ sugar and beat well. Reduce speed of mixer and slowly pour in butter. Mix well.
  4. Pour filling onto cake mixture and spread evenly. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes. You want the center to be a little gooey, so don’t bake it past that point!
  5. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. Cut into squares. Just remember that these wonderful little cakes are very, very rich, and a little will go a long way.

Here are some variations from

Paula Deen’s Lady & Sons Just Desserts cookbook.

  1. Pineapple Gooey: Add a 20-ounce can of drained crushed pineapple and an extra egg to the cream cheese filling. Proceed as directed above.
  2. Lemon Gooey: Use a lemon cake mix in place of the yellow cake. Add the juice (approximately 1/4 cup) and zest of 2 lemons to the cream cheese filling. Proceed: as directed above.
  3. Carrot Cake Gooey: Use a spice cake mix, and add 1 cup chopped nuts and 1 1/2 cup finely grated carrots to the cream cheese filling. Proceed as directed above.
  4. Peanut Butter Gooey: Use a chocolate cake mix. Add 1 cup creamy peanut butter and an extra egg to cream cheese filling. You can sprinkle the top of batter with 1 cup chopped peanuts if you like. Proceed as directed above.
  5. Chocolate Chip Gooey: Use either yellow or chocolate cake mix. Sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped nuts on top of filling. Proceed as directed above.
  6. Banana Gooey: Use a yellow cake mix. Prepare cream cheese filling as directed, beating in 2 ripe bananas and an extra egg. Proceed as directed above.
  7. Nutty Gooey: Use a yellow cake mix, and add 1 cup chopped nuts to the cake mixture. Proceed as directed above.
  8. Chippy Gooey: Stir 1 cup white chocolate chips, peanut butter chocolate chips, butterscotch morsels, Heath Almond Toffee Bits or Heath Milk Chocolate Toffee Bits into filling. Proceed as directed above.
*I will post what I have for Easter Dinner later on today.
Jedd has to work, so I will be going alone today.*

3. Forgive….. you answer?: Always
4. Love….. you answer?: Life

Random Ramblings

I have had some various things going through my mind and instead of posting about each one, I just thought I would ramble on about them. I talk out loud, ask questions out loud, and often answer back-lol. This is me just rambling out loud! Feel free to comment, leave feedback, and leave suggestions. Have a great weekend & Happy Easter!

  1. Tonight: I just went to get Jedd something to eat. It is a beautiful night! The moon is awesome! That is why Easter is this Sunday: The Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Solstice. I just saw a cool bumper sticker: God answers “Knee-mail” 🙂
  2. Internet Browser: I am using Mozilla Firefox now. I have tried it before, but I am a creature of habit, so I went back to Internet Explorer. I decided to try it again, because some blogs at blogspot load slow and I thought I would test out the difference. WOW! What a difference. I have fallin’ in love. I just got to get the hang of it. What internet browser do you use?
  3. Laptop: I have been wanting a laptop for some time now. I am really ready to purchase one now. Jedd has found something else to do on the computer, which is cutting into my computer (blogging) time-lol! Any suggestions on what kind to purchase or what I really need to have loaded on it?
  4. Memes: I have recently found some more cool blogs by participating in memes! I love participating in memes! Check my What are Memes Page to learn more. Do I need to continue to post a link to more about memes on my memes posts? Has it been helpful?
  5. NaBloPoMo: I am participating in NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) for the month of March. The theme is lists. I haven’t followed the theme every day (isn’t required) but I have posted every day. I am going to participate in April too. The theme is letters-won’t be following the theme for that much-I don’t think. I have been posting a NaBloPoMo Button at the bottom of each of my posts. I am not going to do that anymore. I have the badge in my sidebar and I have NaBloPoMo as one of the categories/tags.
  6. Mr. Linky: I have been using Mr. Linky where bloggers can add their links to their posts that relate to my posts (usually memes). I was going to stop using this and just let bloggers comment and find them through their comments, but a blogger commented today and I couldn’t find her through her link there. Thank goodness she left her link with Mr. Linky. I finally found her. So using Mr. Linky is still up in the air.
  7. Death in the family: My Dad’s cousin was just diagnosed with terminal cancer. He passed away yesterday morning. Bless him and his family!
  8. Tims Ford State Park: I will be going to Tims Ford State Park this weekend. My aunt and her family (from Signal Mountain, TN) have a cabin there for the weekend. I’m not sure if the whole Gunsmoke Gang (Matt, Dillon, Marshall) will be there or not. Matt is my 19 year old cousin who is battling renal cell carcinoma and has been for 5 years. I hope to see him there.
  9. Dad: Dad came over today and visited me. He also washed 3 loads of clothes.I napped more than visited-oops! He had a good visit with his grandchild too: Patch. I’m glad he came over! I love my Dad! He is awesome!
  10. Patch: Patch isn’t doing good right now. We went to the Vet this week and Doc C took him off of the antibiotic and put him on Cipro. I have read that Cipro is not FDA approved for dogs. He has gotten sick twice this week shortly after I have given him this horse pill. He has been so blah this last week. His sores are coming back-in the same places. He also is shaking/trembling again-which is how the whole thing started. He has been licking more spots on him and creating more sores. Aaaaahhhh! I just don’t know what to do. I had planned on having his yearly shots the first week of April (Spring Break) and also having him sedated to have dental work done. I may have to do this sooner. I still wonder if he has ear and/or nasal mites. I am going to ask the Doc to do scrapings and look under the microscope. Doc C says the skin problems are an autoimmune disease. He is also on an anxiety med which supposedly doesn’t take effect until after a few weeks of taking. But what is making him sick? Please view my Dogs Page to read more about my 11 year old dalmatian who got sick at Thanksgiving. He was mis-diagnosed with lymphoma and correctly diagnosed with not having lymphoma. We just need a correct diagnosis on what in the world is really going on! Thanks so much for your continued support, thoughts and prayers! WOOF!

Friday’s Feast #5

fridays-feast.jpg

Appetizer

Given the choice, would you prefer to live in the country or in the city? Most definitely in the country! I used to live on a “farm”. We had horses, dogs, and cats out in the country! I loved being outside anytime of the day when I was in the country! Sooooo beautiful!

Soup

Who is the cutest kid you know? I really can’t answer this question! I am a Kindergarten teacher and all of my kids are cute, as well as all the other children I have had! You can check out my class at Miss Meredith’s Monkeys and view pictures and slideshows there.

Salad

Fill in the blank: I couldn’t believe it when I heard Patch, my 11 year old dalmatian, doesn’t have lymphoma! Please read my Dogs Page to update you on his journey through vet visits, diagnosis lymphoma, new vet, and real diagnosis: not lymphoma.

Main Course

If you could star in a commercial for one of your favorite products, which one would you want to advertise? I would advertise Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E Swivel Stick (or any of their products)! I especially love the swivel stick: I use one for my lips and I use one for marks, blemishes, and rough, dry skin!

Dessert

What type(s) of vitamins and/or supplements do you take on a regular basis? I probably should take more and/or different supplements now. Currently I am taking:

  1. Complete OneSourse multi-vitamin
  2. Vitamin C-1000 mg
  3. L-Lysine-1000 mg
  4. Echinacea

Wanna Tour My Hometown?

ten-on-tuesday-big.gif

10 Places I Would Take a Tourist to See in My Hometown

My hometown is small, but these are some of the sites that are there or are in a neighboring town! Some of these are also annual events. We also have three lakes right here! BTW~My hometown is the only one in the world with it’s name: Tullahoma!

  1. Tims Ford State Park We have family get togethers with Jedd’s family here. I used to live on the lake back in high school!
  2. Parish Patch Farm & Inn This is where Cortner’s Mill Restaurant is-great place!
  3. Arnold Air Force Base I used to work out here. You can tour the windtunnels-if they will let you-lol!
  4. Bonnaroo Awesome annual music festival. I will have to include a list of the upcoming bands soon.
  5. Old Stone Fort (State Park) I was a weekend/Summer Daddy’s girl growing up. He always took us here for fun!
  6. Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration I love horses! I like Spotted Saddle the best!
  7. Jack Daniels Distillery along with little ‘ol Lynchburg, TN Right down the road. I used to live in the hills & hollows of Lynchburg.
  8. George Dickel Distillery Come on over and check out Cascade Hollow!
  9. Monteagle and Sewanee (beautiful places with pics) There are some great historic sites, the Cross, and great food here.
  10. Lookout Mountain (about an hour away) If we are in Sewanee, might as well drive a little bit more down the road and check out some more Mountain Action!

This is a video made by a couple of guys a few years younger than me! They are describing Winchester, TN and the surrounding areas! Phillip Fulmer (Tennessee Vols Football Coach) is from here. When I was in high school, I hung out here often! Everything they say was oh so true. BTW~Jedd is from Winchester/Decherd. This is rap-type music with all of the pictures of locations included! They visit Sewanee: University of the South and the Cross and also Tims Ford Lake. There’s even a cute black lab in it! And they cruise down Dinah Shore Blvd. Check out the SunDrop (my favorite drink)! LOL! This is hilarious! I love it! Hope you enjoy this!
