  2. Finish DRA (Developmental Reading Assessment): One on one reading assessment while the others are “occupied”~yeah that will be easy-lol. And so much paper work involved-aahhhhhh!
  3. Update and finish Attendance
  4. Update and finish Grades
  5. Update and finish Plan Book
  6. Create and paint the backdrop to our Kindergarten Program: Singing in the Rain
  7. Program Practice: start and finish

Seven Wonders

Fleetwood Mac

So long ago
Certain time
Certain place
You touched my hand
All the way
All the way down to emmiline
But if our paths never cross
Well you know I’m sorry but
If I live to see the seven wonders
Ill make a path to the rainbows end
Ill never live to match the beauty again
The rainbows end

So its hard to find
Someone with that kind of intensity
You touched my hand I played it cool
And you reached out your hand for me
But if our paths never cross
Well you know I’m sorry but
If I live to see the seven wonders
Ill make a path to the rainbows end
Ill never live to match the beauty again
The rainbows end

So long ago
Its a certain time
Its a certain place
You touched my hand and you smiled
All the way back you held out your hand
If I hope and I pray
Ooh it might work out someday
If I live to see the seven wonders
Ill make a path to the rainbows end
Ill never live to match the beauty again
The rainbows end

If I live to see the seven wonders
Ill make a path to the rainbows end
Ill never live to match the beauty again

If I live to see the seven wonders
Ill make a path to the rainbows end
Ill never live to match the beauty again

Prayers

  1. Patch (my 11 year old dalmatian): Patch was incorrectly diagnosed with lymphoma, but with a change in Vet’s and more testing, we believe we have his health issues pinpointed. He has ehrlichiosis. He is in the chronic stage and has to be on antibiotics for months to come. You can check out his roller coaster ride through this journey by reading my Dogs page. Praying for a recovery soon.
  2. Uncle D (Dad’s brother): Uncle D has been through it all. Right now he is need of a kidney transplant and undergoes dialysis treatment 3 times a week. He acquired an aneurysm where the fistula or vascular graft was created in his arm for his dialysis treatment. He just underwent surgery in his arm and prayers are being said for his overall health.
  3. Uncle K (Dad’s brother): Has been diagnosed with cancer last December. He had a tumor on his spine and on his kidney. The tumor on his spine was removed. Since then a tumor on his liver was found. He is undergoing treatment as we speak and is still using a walker. Prayers for you K & P and family!
  4. Dad: My Dad has finally got a job after almost two years of unemployment. Praying he stays with this job for years to come…please!
  5. Granny (Dad’s mother): She has been sick on and off for the past few months. She is doing much better. My Dad stays with her-but with his new job (woohoo) it is getting harder on him because he needs to sleep during the day ann she is up during the day…in a tiny one bedroom apartment. I hope she continues on the feel better road and Dad can soon find a place of his own.
  6. Cousin M (on my Mom’s side): My cousin M has been battling renal cell carcinoma for five and half years now. He found out he had it at the age of fourteen after an indoor soccer game accident sent him to the hospital. He has had six major surgeries since then and has been through chemo on and off during the who process. Docs have found another large tumor (he had nodes all over his body) last week and we are anxiously waiting the results and what to do next. Cousin M: you are constantly in my prayers and I am so proud of you and your accomplishments during this whole ordeal! Congrats on finishing up your 2nd year of college! Prayers for you now!
  7. Blog Buddies in need: I always save a place in my prayers for my blogosphere friends. I too understand that others are dealing with similar issues and are in need of thoughts and prayers. Just remember~I’m here and thinking about you and your loved ones during your time of need!

SUNDAY SEVEN #3

Update on Patch

(For those of you that don’t know the story: Patch is my 11 year old dalmatian who has been on a roller coaster ride for 3 months with various health issues and we still haven’t quite figured out what is going on. If you would like to catch up on the story, just visit my Dogs Page and read the posts about Patch.)

  1. Patch does not have lymphoma at this time. We are going to a New Vet~Doc C, who is closer to us and is wonderful! He actually biopsied a lymph node (necessary for true diagnosis of lymphoma) and determined it isn’t lymphoma~woohoo!
  2. Patch is not taking prednisone (for swollen lymph nodes) or tramadol (for pain)anymore. He is now on tetracycline for infection. He will be on it for two more weeks.
  3. His lymph nodes are not swollen at this time. He has fatty skin hanging around in weird places~possibly where the nodes were swollen~it looks kinda funny.
  4. Patch has been shaking/trembling again. That is how all of this started. He has been doing this since last Wednesday night. When he does this it is so pitiful because I don’t know what I can do to help him.
  5. We took Patch to the Vet on Saturday. It was snowing out and I wasn’t going to drive, but the lady had an appointment available for after Jedd got off of work. We went there but Doc C wasn’t there~I forgot to mention to her that he has been seeing Doc C. So we saw Doc M. He wasn’t sure what to do or what had been going on. Anywho he gave him a non-steroid shot to see if it would help.
  6. Patch was still shaking last night and today. Last night, I laid in bed with him to try and comfort him. I was going to start reading Dear John by Nicholas Sparks, but I was in a sad mood for Patch and the book started out sad~I had to put it down. I just laid there with Patch rubbing and hugging on him.
  7. I will be contacting Doc C in the morning. I am thinking he might want to keep Patch for a little while and if he does they want Patch there between 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. Jedd works both mornings. I might have to call Dad and have him break away from my Granny for a bit. I sure wish we could pinpoint what is going on. I am going to mention/ask Doc C if we need to do any x-rays or ultrasounds.

I love Patch so much! I am thankful that he has stayed with us through Christmas, New Years, His birthday, Valentine’s Day, and Jedd’s birthday.

Sunday Seven

Here is one of my daily memes for Sunday. The Sunday Seven. I will be taking this opportunity each week to share seven blessings, joys, or tidbits of news from the past week or seven expectations for the coming week.

7 Blessings, Joys, and Tidbits for last week

  1. Patch, my 11 year old dalmatian: Patch has been correctly diagnosed. We changed Vets and New Doc did a biopsy of a lymph node (necessary to diagnose lymphoma). The results are in and it is  NOT LYMPHOMA at this time.

  2. My Granny: My granny, who is 91 years old,  came home from the hospital after almost a week stay. She is doing much better.

  3. School System: The school system I teach for just went through the new SACS (Southern Accreditation of Colleges and Schools) review and we did great! We were the first system in Tennessee to go through this with the new review system.

  4. Biggest Loser: I joined Biggest Loser at work. Some fellow teachers and I created our own Biggest Loser. Each participant pays $20. Winner takes all! We started this last school year and the winner lost 40 pounds. I had just lost 25 pounds when we started this last year~why didn’t we start sooner. Anywho~during Biggest Loser last year, I gained 25 punds and lost 25 pounds~broke even. For some reason, knowing that I am doing Biggest Loser makes me want to eat more-aaaahhhh!

  5. Tennessee College Basketball: The #1 team in the nation, Memphis Tigers, played the #2 team in the nation, Tennessee Volunteers, last night! It was a very intense game. It is awesome to know that the two top teams in the nation are from Tennessee! Tennesse Volunteers win and are now #1 in the nation! Woohoo!

  6. Mary Kay: I am also an Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay. I am Just Sales! No Recruiting! I don’t work my business muvh at all. I have customers at school (convenient) and my friend that has a Nail Salon allows me to have a “store” there. Between the two places, with little work, I brought in an extra $125 last week. My extra funds have been paying for Vet and medicine bills for Patch.

  7. Staisha: My cousin’s 5 year old beautiful girl lost her first tooth!
