Wow Thamks Mercedes, I’ve never had a blog award before. When I started blogging on Blogspot I had very few visitors & even less comments left although I visited & commented on lottsa blogs. I eventually deleted it. Since using WordPress for less than a month I’m amazed at how many visitors I have been getting. Have a nice day 🙂

I tried to download the Award, but it saves in a BMP Format. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I can’t download BMP formats. What am I doing wrong. Everyone else has this Award on their Posts.
When my pics are in bmp format, I open pics in microsoft picture editor and click file, export, and on the right export using jpg format, then click ok on the right. Then I save pic as something else again. Then I have the pic in jpg format. I hope that works. I tend to type like I talk and sometimes-and forget some of the important things-oops!
Dunno what your doing wrong, I just right clicked on the award, then ‘save picture as’, & it came up to save into “My Pictures” as a GIF image. I then uploaded image from “My Pictures” to an image hosting site, I used tinypics.com, then pasted the URL of the image into a “Text box” widget & it worked.

I started uploading pics to an image hosting site, but then I figured out how upload pics directly in your posts and click edit and it will give you the url of the image. If the image is in bitmap form, I open the image using microsoft office picture manager and click file~then export~then on the right export with jpg format and click ok~then re-save pic. Then I copy that url and put it into a “Text Box” Widget. Both ways work~I just forget to tell all of the steps. LOL! Thanks for your help!
P.S. When you get to the “My Pictures” screen the drop down box for “Save file type as” lets you choose between BMP & GIF or at least on my computer it does. Maybe try changing it there.
Sometimes I can do this and sometimes I can’t-then I will export it to a jpg format. Thanks for your input here, Taz! Much appreciated! WOOF!

Just noticed that I was moved from A1 Dogs and Cats to Blog Buddies…Missy the Cat wants to know if it was something I did (since, as the cat in this duo, it couldn’t possibly be her fault!) I tried to explain to her that my blog isn’t all about her. To which she replied “And why NOT?”

A belated thank you for the yummy! I was on vacation and was being less than conscientious about reading and responding to e-mails. But I was smart enough to SAVE anything I needed to go back to.
