  1. Yum, I love everything on their menu last week but boiled okra…YUCK! 🙂

  2. Ssshhhh!

I’ll keep it on the down-low-lol!

  3. I am coming to your house for dinner!

You won’t find this at my house-lol-but you can join me at Jedd’s parents’ house! 😉

  4. I don’t like okra either — they’re like gross little slime pods. I feel like they’re going to swell up and pop out pod-people like in “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”. But the rest of it sounds good!

  5. OMG. This is so yummy! Thanks for sharing, Merce!

  6. PS. If you don’t mind will you please double post this on your Vox so I can favorite this recipe? Many thanks, hun!

  7. This sounds truly scrumptious. I’ve book marked it to try next week.

My great grandma used to make our family favorite, Chicken and noodles back on the farm and would make her own noodles. They’d be strung all over the dining room and kitchen to dry. This inspired me to start making my own.

I was so pasta inspired today I also tried a new recipe for crock pot Lasagna. I’ll get it ready and link it back too.

We just finished it and it was scrumptious!

  8. I’d have to do without the creamed corn, unless it’s home made. the canned stuff is YUCK. shhhhhh 🙂

Most definitely corn from the garden and most definitely homemade! 🙂

  9. I love the sound of the chicken and cheese dinner! YUM!!

  10. Hold on ladies, I am coming too! YUMMY!!

  11. I decided to put forth my best MAN’s effort for Scrumptious Sunday

  12. What time should I be there? Yummy!!

    Dinner is at noon today-lol

  13. Dear Mere… Once again I must extend my most sincere apologies for not being able to make lunch today. While the meal looks simply scrumptious (as you’ve said), I just can’t afford the gasoline to drive over and join you.
Hopefully, I’ll have enough money left after I fill my tank to purchase a loaf of bread and some peanut butter. I once dreamed of being able to splurge for a Hostess Twinkie for dessert, but I can only stretch a dollar so far. I hope you’ll forgive me!

SPLORF! OMG I can’t stop laughing! Quack! Quack! AFLAC (a funny laugh and chuckle)!

  14. I have this one saved and will be trying it or having my chef in training son do it while I am recovering from surgery (Tuesday).
I will be out next week for recipes, but hopefully back the week after.

  15. Great! Your chicken and pasta dish sounds scrumptious. I clicked on your cake too and it so reminds me of a trifle, but done the super easy way. That menu for last week was incredible (well … ssshhh … except for the unmentionables. I guess they don’t read your blog. That’s OK. We’ll keep it all to ourselves. It will be our best kept little secret.) Kathy at 4urpets makes a FABULOUS slaw. Every time she makes it I tell her how great it is. I won’t eat anybody else’s, but she tells me her only secret is a Kraft bottle.

Mercedes, thank you for posting my Ice Cream Round Up button for July 18th on your other sidebar. You ROCK! I’m also glad you’re doing an ice cream Scrumptious Sunday on July 13th. It will be perfect timing for everybody to link to my round up so they can get more traffic to their ice cream posts. 🙂

  16. I had pasta last night, too! However, we went OUT to eat! LOL 😀

  17. Ooooo I am so bookmarking this recipe! It looks so yummy. Thanks for posting it.

  18. Thank you for posting this recipe! I am in a cram to make a meal for a mother of two who just had a baby. This is exactly what I was looking for!
