Hello all!
So sorry I haven’t been here! I have been so busy and fighting the blues too. My computer crashed for a few weeks-the desktop. My laptop magically is connected now. Like Dennis said-maybe I will be back next summer-lol-but I only get two months off. I am off of work today-took the day off. I am flying with my Dad this evening. We are going to Austin to see my younger brother and his wife. Cousin M is back in Cincinnati and has been there for two weeks. He will probably be there another week or less-WE HOPE! Thank you all that continue to keep up with the updates and post messages! I have also been a LOT sad these last few weeks. I miss my Patch so much. It does get easier and thet it gets harder. I am considering deleting my account at Mercedes Rocks. It is just too much work now. I have also joined Facebook and I am addicted to it right now-I have connected with so many friends from school. ..and here-lol. It also has so many fun games-I can’t get off of it-lol! I know I am rambling from one subject to the next, but I just had to update you to let you know that I am here and alive. I also need to be packing for my trip, but I am procrastinating as usual. I too have a facebook account but with nothing on it. I think I am too ‘vintage’ to understand it’s allure. Besides, my daughter would flippin freak out if she saw any trace of me on facebook. I have been thinking of you. Is 5th a better place for you? I have another lively group of kindergartners this year and I am lovin’ it.

There you are!! Happy to read your post. Have a safe and fun trip. So sorry to hear about the sadness. I’m still grieving my Golden Retriever too (almost two years now because of the pet food recalls), but we have to go on. Stay strong. I hope you keep blogging. How do we find you on Facebook? How’s 5th grade? Our son is in 6th grade already. Time is flying much too fast! 🙂 Hope to hear from you soon, either here, or you have my e-mail too.

Just this side of heaven is a place called “Rainbow Bridge.”
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
