What walks on four legs, runs in a 1, 150-mile race, detects bombs, tracks, bad guys, and still enjoys an afternoon of chasing Frisbees? It’s Canis familiaris, otherwise know as the dog. Whether a mutt or purebred, the domestic dog has been part of human society for thousands of years. W is for Woof: A Dog Alphabet offers a canine course through simple rhymes accompanied by informative, entertaining sidebar text. Subject matter includes behavior, obedience, training, grooming, and health care. After reading W is for Woof, you will have a better understanding of what makes “Rover” tick from the top of his head to the tip of his tail.

This sounds like a great book! I’m going to have to look it up!
I got it at the Book Fair this year and thought-how appropriate for what we will be doing!
Either way, the book or blogthings will be fun.
I really wanted to share the book, especially with my dog blog buddies, but I don’t want to chance copyright. I have already found all of my Blogthings quizzes for all of the letters except for Z. I guess I will be doing Blogthings. Thanks for your input.
Girl I have enjoyed you being home on spring break this week.
Thanks! I won’t be around near as much after Sunday-lol!
Mere, do you watch Oprah? She is asking animal lovers to come together today and watch her show about puppy mill.
It might be more than you can handle because it is an awful investigation of cruelty, but I wanted to let you know.
I have chills on my arms. I’m not into puppy mills and you are right-I probably won’t be able to handle it. Patch was a stray-btw. Thanks for the info! 🙂
Here’s the slide show about Lisa Ling’s investigation.
Thanks!
